"I’ve always thought the Lolita style was gorgeous and I’ve always wanted to try it. However, not only do I not have a lot of money, I also live in South Florida. I feel like I’d never get to wear the dress of my dreams because it’d just be too hot to wear anywhere."

"I hate that replicas and home made pieces are considered a bad thing by so many people. I barely even have enough money for Bodyline, so making my own is really the only way I (and so many others) can even be involved in Lolita.”

"It’s ridiculous to feel guilty for being ridiculous. As long as you make others THINK you are confident in you clothing choices, they will generally respect you. If someone tears you down, just remind them that YOU love what you’re wearing and wouldn’t change it for the world. If they still persist, remind them ( with confidence!) that you’re the one who has to wear the clothes, so it’s really none of their business."

"A girl told me she would sell me my dream dress. She told me she would hold it until a certain day. When that day came she had already sold it. I was so mad I thought about telling everyone never to deal with her, but then I realized it didn’t matter in the end. It was just a dress. And even though it hurt really bad, I noticed her English wasn’t very good so I’m sure she didn’t do it on purpose. I know some Lolita out there would have trashed her as bad as they possibly could, so I would hope that they might take a step back and be a better person."

"I love the lolita fashion and it seems to make me happier than most things in my life. Even though I recently discovered it recently, about 2 years ago, it’s become a major part of my existence and I plan on spending my money on cute for the rest of my life."

"Girls… Stop bitching about fabrics if you know nothing about it! If something is made of 100% cotton it doesn’t mean it’s the best. Adding polyester to fabric makes it stronger, more comfortable for daily usage, and better for prints etc. That’s why many loli dresses easily get stained and broken. And yes, I finished special classes for material sciences and fashion construction, so I know what I’m talking about."

"There’s this stupid ‘rule’ that Bodyline and F+F for instance aren’t allowed to be called brand because the shops don’t exclusively sell lolita fashion."

"I think its rude to say that people on which lolita skirts fit shorter are wearing it wrong, they’re wearing the clothes the way they’re made! Sure wearing an underskirt is an option but to insist that it’s there’s only way to be a lolita, which is pretty much saying that long legs are NOT lolita, is body shaming."
